Product Care
Most Yoga Products and Yoga Accessories can be disinfected with normal disinfectant sprays but if a deep cleaning is needed please follow the recommended guidelines below or contact your product manufacture.
Disinfecting Yoga Mats
Most foam mats can be hand cleaned using a bleach or vinegar based solution. Do Not Use vinegar on rubber based mats it will destroy them. If you are not sure, test a small corner of your mat or contact the manufacture.
Spray mat until lightly moistened and towel dry, repeat with clean water as necessary to remove chlorine or vinegar solution and towel dry. (Vinegar smell will remain but will dissipate when mats dries).
Do Not Roll Up, lay mat out on clean dry towel or hang up to completely dry before rolling up to store.
Note: Some foam yoga mats can be machine washed. Please check manufactures website for complete cleaning instructions.
DisinfectingYoga Blocks
Spray blocks until lightly moistened and towel dry, repeat with clean water as necessary to remove bleach or vinegar solution and allow to dry.
Cork blocks can be disinfected with a 50/50 Vinegar water solution. Vinegar smell will remain but will dissipate when blocks dry.
Disinfecting Yoga Bolsters
Remove cover and wash normally in cold water, we do recommend washing any color cover by its self as color bleeding is possible.
Inner pillow can be sprayed with most types of disinfectant but allow inner pillow ample time to completely and toughly dry before reinstalling pillow cover.
Note: If pillow cover has shrunk, remove some cotton from inner pillow until cover fits.
Disinfecting Yoga Straps
Wash normally in cold water, we do recommend washing any yoga strap by its self for the first time as color bleeding is possible.
Disinfecting Meditation Cushions
Remove cover and wash normally in cold water, we do recommend washing any color cover by its self as color bleeding is possible.
If inner filling is cotton and not in an inner pillow: Disinfect cover with disinfectant spray, allow to dry completely.
If inner are loose buckwheat hulls: Remove buckwheat hulls into a container and wash cover normally. Once cover is dry, re-insert buckwheat hulls.
Note: If cushion has an inner pillow, disinfect with normal disinfectant spray but allow to completely dry before reinstalling cover.
Disinfecting Yoga Blankets
All blended fiber and cotton yoga blankets can be machine washed in cold water with bleach and dried in a dryer using low heat but line drying is recommended.
Note: Cotton yoga blankets recommendation, washing should be done by its self as color bleeding is possible.
